Get ready for this – dot stickers flowers were AMAZING

Some activities are just better than others. I’m not trying to play favorites here but let’s be real: sometimes it’s a winner and sometimes it’s not. And 25 minutes into working meticulously on her dot sticker flowers, my daughter (4) said “This is the best project ever” and for her, I knew this was the truth.

It’s all about the dot stickers, baby

Dot stickers are THE BEST.

What a gem of an activity supply and to think – for most of my life they were just garage sale stickers. Oh not anymore. Now, these are DOT STICKERS aka the best activity supply around.

What can’t we do with them?! (Don’t answer that because I’m already knee deep in my life’s work 1001 Uses for Dot Stickers)

The simplest set up for dot sticker flowers

Materials:

• Dot stickers
• White butcher paper (couldn’t live without this either!)
• Do-a-Dots or other markers
• Painter’s Tape

I grabbed my trusty white butcher paper and hung it on the wall with Painter’s Tape. I should probably buy stock in both these companies.

On the paper, I used my Do-a-Dots to “paint” (paint with markers) flowers – one red, yellow, and blue, but all with green stems. I made the center of the flower one of the other colors.

See how I used only the colors of the dot stickers?

Pretty fun looking already!

Don’t forget the dot stickers trick!

There’s nothing worse than setting up a great independent activity, only to be stuck on “911 Sticker Duty” the entire time.

Here’s the trick:

Remove the inner white part of the sticker sheet to make the stickers easier to peel.

My daughter (4) loved this.

She loved this activity with all her heart and spent 35 straight minutes working on it.

It captivated her. It appealed to her meticulous nature. It mesmerized her.

She kept telling me over and over that this was the best project she’d ever done.

And that’s coming from The Busy Toddler kid – this child has literally grown up with activities (we started this site when she was 5 months old) so she knows her activities.

She knows a good one when she sees one. And this was a very very good one.

• plant vocabulary (stem, petal, leaves)

This activity literally HAS IT ALL.

I think I need to set up more dot sticker flowers for my daughter this week – I just want to hear and see that excitement again! This was an absolute winner for us.
