Make the ABC Puzzle Hunt today
I was combing the aisles of the Dollar Store and stumbled on this ABC foam puzzle. I knew we’d be BFFs.
I tucked that puzzle away for a literal rainy day and it was PERFECT for a sensory bin.

What else did I buy from the Dollar Store?
Why thanks for asking!
- A plastic tub (I think this is for dish washing)
- 1 bag of rice (1 lb)
- The foam puzzle
What a way to spend $3!
Think of all the other uses I can come up with for the tub and the rice! And the puzzle is great too.

I dumped it all together and my 3-year-old loved it!
My 3-year-old DOES NOT know his alphabet letters (AND I’M FINE WITH IT!!). He knows how to do puzzles and he knows how to match shapes of objects together.
The reason I loved using this puzzle was because it was cheap, easy, and it gave him a chance to PLAY with letters. Eventually, he’ll be ready to learn his letters and these kinds of easy breezy moments will have helped so much for his background knowledge.

My son has played this for days…
He keeps setting up the ABC Puzzle Hunt for himself and burring the letters in the bin.
This works for him as a great independent play option and I love that.
Leaving this out for him has been a great way to give him a simple independent play space and encourage him to play even more.
The ABC Puzzle Hunt has been a hit!
When will you make one at your house?
