Looking for easy Valentines you can print at home? These inexpensive Valentine cards are a great non-candy option for children to give to friends and classmates. Simple, easy, and low-cost, they’re perfect for spreading a little love this holiday.

Valentine’s Day always tends to sneak up on me.
If you can’t believe it’s February already, I get it. I am always stunned by Valentine’s Day and how quickly it seems to arrive.
When I got tired of cramming in a trip to the store to pick out lackluster, expensive Valentine’s Day cards that meant nothing to my kids (or to their friends at school), I decided to take a different route.
I designed sweet, simple, meaningful Valentines we could print at home and make our own. This little twist on the “same old same old” has become a tradition we all love- and, frankly, is so much easier for me than going the store-bought route.
From glow sticks to fidget poppers to spy cards with invisible ink pens, these free downloadable Valentines offer a little something for everyone. We print them out on card stock, sign the back, and tie on the (totally optional!) small toy with a sweet little ribbon.
And they turn out so stinking cute.
Let’s skip the trip to the store, make our Valentines a little more personal, and have lots of fun with this adorable holiday.
The Best Free Downloadable Valentines for Kids
I had so much fun coming up with the designs for these six unique cards. Matching them to my kids’ personalities and interests each year is a total blast. Which ones will your family choose?

“You’re Write For Me” Valentine
I cannot get over how adorable this card is paired with the cute multicolored pen. My daughter (11) fell in love with these pens recently and begged for a Valentine to give with them. She wasn’t wrong.

Spy Valentine
My youngest is obsessed with the invisible ink pens on my viral gift guide, so I knew they had to be included in one of my Valentine cards. My kids use these amazing pens to write secret messages, decode hidden notes, play spy games, and more. Such a fun twist on a Valentine.

Pop Tube Valentine
When we got our first set of pop tubes in 2024, I was skeptical. They felt like a random, junk-drawer-destined toy. Boy, was I wrong. We’ve used them again and again – stretching, building, pretending, fidgeting, connecting, and inventing games I never imagined. A perfect option for a non-candy Valentine.

Heart Fidget Valentine
I absolutely love these adorable mini heart fidget toppers and the matching cards are honestly the sweetest. My oldest (12) is giving these out as his Valentines this year and I know they’ll be a hit with middle schoolers…and loved by preschoolers, too. The fidget poppers come in a super affordable multi-pack making this Valentine an inexpensive slam dunk.

Bubble Valentine
A bubble Valentine is a classic for a reason. These sweet little cards are perfect for pairing with the mini-sized bubble tubes that fit perfectly into classroom Valentine mailboxes. Just tie them together with a little ribbon for the sweetest ‘semi-homemade’ Valentine around.

Glow Stick Valentine
One of my kids’ most favorite Valentines- to give and to receive- year after year. Super simple to prepare: just print out the free downloadable card, punch a few holes, and slide a glow stick through. Cute, easy, and so thoughtful for classrooms and friends. (Also perfect for a Glow Bath!)
