Looking for a super adorable, simple, and FREE Valentine printable? Check out my three free writing-pun Valentine’s to pair with the most precious mini pens. These make a quick, easy, and fun Valentine for kids.

Why does Valentine’s Day arrive so fast?
January feels calm… until suddenly you’re on Sign-up Genius, counting classmates, and realizing you still need a Valentine plan. One that works for school, doesn’t involve candy, and doesn’t require an extra store run.
That’s where this one comes in.
I created free printable Valentine’s Day cards designed to pair with mini multi-colored pens – the tiny kind kids instantly love. My daughter (11) fell in love with these pens and begged for a Valentine to give with them.
You can print the cards at home and order the pens online, making this a quick, easy Valentine that still feels thoughtful.
No scrambling. No last-minute errands.

A Small Valentine That Feels Extra Special
There’s something about tiny things that my two youngest kids are drawn to – moth’s to tiny flies. Maybe your kids are the same way.
These mini pens check two adorable boxes: each pen is topped with the cutest tiny creature AND the pens are small. The small size, the bright colors, and the tiny animal toppers made these an instant hit – I was basically a hero for finding them online. I’ll take the win.
As for checking the Valentine boxes, these mini pens are:
- Completely non-food
- Easy to attach to a card
- Three design options
- Available in bulk
- A usable item kids actually keep and enjoy

Mini Multicolored Pens (pack of 20)
These are so adorable and just the right size for attaching to a Valentine card. Perfect for classroom exchanges!
That’s it. No extra materials, no complicated steps.
How to Assemble the Valentines
This comes together quickly – I promise you won’t be assembling these forever.
Start by printing the Valentine cards on card stock so they hold up well. I created three different styles. Download all of them at once and decide which to use.
Cut out each card, then punch a single hole near the top. Before assembling, have your child write their name on the cards – doing a few at a time helps keep it manageable. Finally, tie one mini pen to each card.
Done.
No mess. No stress.
Why This Valentine Works So Well
So many classroom Valentines rely on candy or novelty items that don’t last beyond the school day. This is an allergy-friendly, easy to prep Valentine that kids are genuinely excited to receive. Best of all, it’s something they’ll actually use long after Valentine’s day is over.
If you want a Valentine that feels fun without being fussy, and can be handled entirely from home, this one is an easy win.
