I received an Owlet to review. All opinions are my own.
How do you sleep when baby sleeps?
There’s no two ways about it: You lose a lot of sleep with a newborn for a lot of different reasons.
First, there’s that whole babies don’t come home from the hospital knowing how to sleep through the night thing.
Then, there’s the babies get hungry and fussy and cranky and poopy at night thing.
And then there’s that but who will watch over baby while they sleep if Mom and Dad are sleeping too thing.
The answer is in a sock.
Even as a third time parent, it is terrifying to lay Baby down to sleep and sleep yourself. Who will watch Baby while I’m asleep? How will I know Baby is really safe?
And as much as I wish I could, staying up all night watching baby sleep isn’t exactly feasible. I have two toddlers and a newborn so I need a good night of sleep to be ready to parent all three kids in the morning.
The answer for me is the Owlet Baby Monitor.
Sleep better knowing your baby is being watched over.
The Owlet is designed to alert you if your baby stops breathing. It uses the same technology as hospitals do, pulse oximetry.
The Owlet is now part of our nighttime routine (and thank goodness for it!). We get the kids ready for bed – baths and books for the toddlers – and get the Owlet Baby Monitor snugly placed on Baby’s foot.
The restful sleep you can get knowing the Owlet is designed to alert you if baby stops breathing is a beautiful thing.
Rest assured with Owlet
While I’m sleeping, Owlet is helping watch Baby for me. The base station glows green to let me know Baby’s heart rate and oxygen are within range. If Baby stops breathing, the light is designed to flash red and sound an alarm.
I can also track Baby’s oxygen level and heart rate on the Owlet app that goes to my iPhone (also available on Android). I love this added peace of mind knowing Baby is breathing well.
Let the Owlet stay up for you
The Owlet has been a game changer for me with our third baby. It takes so much worry off the table.
I can’t believe I didn’t have the Owlet when my other two kids were babies. It would have saved a lot of sleepless nights worrying and wondering. This isn’t just a device for new parents, it’s a device for all parents with babies.
Take the worry out of nights with a new baby.
