Inside: Make this pom pom Oball push activity for your taby. It’s a winner winner chicken dinner type activity.
Grab your Oball and some pom poms – here’s an awesome taby activity.
Taby activities are my jam right now. Probably because I’m living the taby life right now with a 16 month old who is not a baby anymore but not quite at toddler-status. My activities goal right now is to find things a taby can do… but I didn’t figure this activity out. His Dad did. 3 cheers for awesome dads who invent their own activities.
But seriously this Pom Pom Oball Push is seriously perfect. It’s made for one happy taby in my house.
I needed Dad to occupy the taby.
I was busy working with my two big kids and needed the taby entertained, moved, somewhere distracted and unaware that he’s not with the others. He has FOMO something fierce.
I’d left a bag of pom pom balls on the fire place and someone had left the Oball out of the toy bin.
And my husband said he just “knew”.
Kind of like when you find the right wedding dress to marry someone, who 13 years later will make a GENIUS activity for your taby.

What else my husband did
He did go through the pom pom ball bag and take away any of the really tiny, immediately swallowable pom pom balls. Of course, supervision is huge with any activity especially an activity with 16 month old and pom pom balls.
Our taby always lulls us into a false sense of security. Everything was going great the other day and then I looked down to tie my shoe – suddenly he has two pom poms in his mouth.
Ugh.
Supervise big time.
There was another reason he sorted through the pom poms
He wanted to make sure all the pom poms in our taby’s pile were pom poms that needed a little effort to shove in.
Small ones just fall right into the holes.
But the big ones need a good push to get through the slats.
Pom pom Oball push is one easy way to entertain!
Our 16 month old was HOOKED into this. It was a very hook, line, sinker type moment. He loves activities where he needs to push or shove, and he especially loves pom pom balls so putting the two together was the best of all his worlds.
And there’s so much learning here!
- Fine motor skills
- Pincher grasp
- Hand-eye coordination
It was a little activity but it did a mighty big job!
I’m so obsessed with taby activities right now but they’re obviously on my husband’s mind too. Anything to keep our little taby occupied and entertained is what we need right now!
