Dear sweet kiddie pool, how I love thee: let me count the ways…
- You keep things clean.
- You make things instantly more interesting.
- You keep things clean
I may have repeated myself but it is what it is. Man, I love a good kiddie pool. This precious family member spends most of his life in project land and he feels that is his true calling in life. He’s doing what he loves.
Because of Sir Kiddie Pool, activities like this can happen, can happen quickly, and can happen with very minimal mess. Let’s get to it.
I left this set up in our family room as an invitation to play for Sam. He was stoked to find beans galore and kitchen utensils for days, all nicely playing together in his pool.
He scooped them. He flipped them. He swirled them all around. He sorted them, counted them, attempted to eat them and was caught red-handed (no no Sam!).
Sometimes he sat inside with the beans and sometimes he worked from outside the pool, leaning over to play with them.
I loved this activity because it gave Sam a chance to play with a great sensory item (beans), using everyday utensils, but contained in the walls of the pool so the mess stayed 90% inside. I won’t lie and say there weren’t beans on the carpet, but there weren’t many beans and it was an easy pick up. This kept Sam entertained for a whole kitchen clean up for me so win for having nice sparkling countertops.
