Dot stickers are my love. Pumpkins are my love. This is life.
I can’t even begin to describe my love of dot stickers. It is WIDELY recorded and noted – this is not something I’m shy about.
You can see my love affair with dot stickers here.

But I also almost equally am fully obsessed with pumpkins so the idea that I could somehow merge these two together – well, we all can dream, can’t we?

- Dot stickers (orange and black)
- Pumpkins
- Sharpie marker

On the pumpkin, draw several lines – zig zag, up and down, all different styles – using a Sharpie. Don’t worry, this will erase with a little hand sanitizer and a sponge at the end.
Give your child the dot stickers and let them decorate the pumpkins along the lines.

Get ready for this dot sticker tip:
Are stickers hard for your kid?
Is it tough for them to peel off?
I have a trick. The best trick.

Remove the middle white part and stickers become 1000x easier to peel for little fingers (ok so maybe that isn’t the most scientific measurement but it sure does feel right).
What are kids learning in dot sticker pumpkin decorating?
Kids are actually learning so much – even though it just looks like a fun, quirky Halloween activity… there’s actually a lot going on here:
- Hand-eye coordination
- Fine motor skills
- Concentration
- Spatial awareness

Play is the best way for kids to learn and look how much learning is happening in this activity!
Add this to your Halloween to-do list!
It’s just so simple and easy – what a fun way to play with Halloween and dot stickers and have such an fun time.
