Scoop and transfer activities are absolutely the bees knees for young toddlers. They are a perfect quick and easy activity, and my kids can’t get enough of them.

The basic set up for this activity is so easy. In a large storage tub, set a plastic container of rice, an ice cube tray and some scoops.

The biggest tip I can give is to make sure you put the rice container and the ice cube tray in a large storage tub. “Double bagging” a sensory activity is key.
