What are the best indoor activities for kids?
The weather is turning, and play is turning indoors – but what can we do on days when time seems to be ticking backwards?!
Try an easy indoor activity, that’s what!
Activities are a parenting tool that I use when days need a reset, time is ticking backwards, or kids aren’t able to find their play/stop arguing for more than 15 seconds.
That’s when I reach for an activity.

Are activities mandatory with kids?
Do you have to do activities with kids?
Absolutely not.
Activities are not something you need to do each day or must do to make sure your child grows up right. No way.
Activities are a tool I discovered early on in parenting when I needed some help. Instead of melting into the day, I’d set up something quick and easy to reset the vibe of the house.
It worked.
I learned to keep these activities in my back pocket, and like a little Mary Poppins, pull them out when needed. It makes me feel like such a champion when I can change the energy with a quick batch of bubble foam.

I created this calendar of activities to share with you (really, it’s just a grid…but “calendar” sounds a lot more fun 😉) to help – not overwhelm.
The goal is NOT to do an activity every day.
The goal is NOT to feel like a failure on days when you don’t.
The goal is just to support you on your parenting journey – that’s it.
Print this sheet out and slap it on your fridge. Even if you don’t need it today, trust me…that day is coming 😆
