It’s a toddler with a spray bottle. Look out people. It’s about to get crazy fun at bath time with bath targets.
Over the summer, my toddler Sam had a long lasting love affair with his beloved spray bottle. Those two were summer besties and probably should have gotten BFF necklaces. But it’s not summer anymore here and their summer romance has cooled too now that the weather is turning.
Breaks my heart. They needed to be reunited.
I came up with Bath Targets especially for my boy and his best bud Spray Bottle. Here’s how to play:
Materials:
(This list contains affiliate links)
- Coffee Filters (even if you have a Keurig, coffee filters are the best to have around for projects)
- Double stick tape
- Spray Bottle
- Bath letters
I took some coffee filters and tape up to the bath room. First, I wetted (that’s a word now) down Sam’s Munchkin Bath Letters and stuck them to the wall. Then I flattened out a coffee filter and taped it over the letter. It obscured the letter enough that you couldn’t tell which it was underneath – you could only see the color.
I put him into the empty/dry bathtub with his squirt bottle and told him to “aim well”.
FYI: Sam has been playing with this bottle for about six months now and he’s had the spray bottle removed several times for “illegal target practice” (aka: Mom, Baby, cat, etc…) so he knows I mean business when I say keep it in the tub.
Sam would spray the filter to soak it, shout the letter with joy each time and usually rip off the soaked paper (I have no idea why). Once he revealed all the letters, I turned on the tub because nothing spells bang for your buck like drawing out an activity with a surprise morning bubble bath AND getting to play with your beloved spray bottle in the tub. Win Win.
We really liked bath targets! It was a fun way to break up the morning and sneak in some bath tub time (which is always a morning winner for us). Thank goodness for spray bottles!

This looks so fun! My son would love this! I feel like I say that on all your posts, haha. But you’re a toddler genius!
