15 Perfect sick day activities for toddlers!
I heard my daughter cough at the end of nap time and I knew it. I knew immediately this was no throat tickle. This wasn’t an “I swallowed my water wrong”.
This was the beginning of some flu bug/cold/you name it crud and my toddler was going down with it.
I opened the door to her room and saw one sick kid. She had every symptom in the sick kid book and I could see the writing on the wall: we were going to be house bound and quarantined for a while.
It is so hard having a sick toddler. It’s hard being stuck at home. It’s hard trying to keep them laying down and resting when that is just not in their toddler nature.
No matter how sick they are, once they get even a whiff of energy, they’re up and running. Leaving you to chase them down and wrestle them back to sitting.
Relax and rest just isn’t in a toddler’s vocabulary (at least it isn’t in my kids’). Eventually they get tired of just laying on the couch and that’s when I start looking for quiet activities to do.
