Erase the ABCs in this quick and easy alphabet activity!
I love simple alphabet activities – no muss, no fuss, just a little learning and a lot of fun. Erase the Alphabet is our newest quick and easy alphabet activity (I’m adding it to this list of 50+ ABC Activities!). It’s a great fast to set up activity that kids love playing!

- Dry erase markers
- Paper towel or towel
The set up for this activity couldn’t be easier: I took a dry erase marker and covered our sliding glass door in alphabet letters.
Making this activity into a game
I gave my three year old and folded paper towel and explained the game.
“I’m going to call out a letter – you need to find it and erase it!”
He thought it was amazing! He loved the hunt of trying to find the letters and the fun of erasing them.
I use this activity at dinner time
I love this activity as a “dinner time prep” activity. I can quickly throw up some letters onto the window and call out names while I’m cooking. Keeps my toddler son occupied, out of the kitchen, and busy while I get things going.
Other ways to use this activity
My three year old loves this activity and so does his 22 month old sister. She loves this activity as a cleaning activity. She’s not so sure about the letters on the window but she sure knows how to clean them.
This is a GREAT activity for young toddlers – consider just covering the window with shapes, lines, and squiggles for them to erase. It doesn’t always have to be erase the ABCs.
Try this easy alphabet activity next time you need to entertain a toddler really quick. They’ll love erasing the alphabet from your windows, too!
