Toddler activities don’t have to take hours to prep or be fancy at all. Sometimes, the best toddler activities are the simplest activities.

Grab a piece of construction paper and write your toddler’s name on it. The goal: cover the letters with stickers.
How did this go for my kids?
My kids LOVED THIS. They sat quietly and worked so hard on this activity! My son (3 years old) worked for well over 20 minutes and my daughter (22 months old) worked for almost half an hour!
My son was able to cover all the letters with stickers. He worked so hard to do this!
My daughter took a more creative approach and decorated the paper with countless sheets of stickers. She’s a little young to follow the lines but loved being a part of the activity.
It didn’t matter – she had just as much fun pealing the stickers and placing them on the construction paper as my son did!
What are they learning here?
This activity is so simple, but it packs in a lot of learning:
- Fine motor skills
- Letter identification
- Name recognition
There are so many extension for this activity!
Since doing sticker names, we’ve extended this into sticker shapes and sticker letters! My kids are loving this activity so much. They can’t get enough.
I love how quickly I can set this activity up vs how long they will play for. With under a minute of prep, they will sit and work for so long with their stickers. It’s a beautiful thing!
Toddler activities don’t have to be super complicated. Easy activities like sticker names are perfect for getting us to nap time.
