Are you daring enough to have an indoor pool?
And we are months away from outside fun and already stir crazy… we needed a little toddler activity pick me up to get us to nap time!
I decided what better way to have a little morning fun then with a pool party. It’s definitely 40 degrees outside so we couldn’t exactly have an outdoor pool party – time to bring the fun inside.
Crazy? Sure, maybe a little but I like to live on the wild side. I’m just that out of control. And just that stir crazy…
My kids (2.5 years and 11 months old) squealed when I started setting up this activity. I promise it was easy to put together, quick to prep and actually super fast to take down.
My favorite kind of toddler activities are the kind that go up and down in seconds. This maybe took a minute or two longer, but it was well worth it.

I set up our kiddie pool inside on a shower curtain (affiliate link) – I use a shower curtain liner as a make shift toddler tarp. It’s just the right size, washes in the laundry machine, and makes activity life so easy. We do every messy project on it.
We picked out some toys for the pool and away we went! I loved that both my toddler and my baby could play this together.
It took 3 soup pots of warm water to get the pool full enough for fun, but not so full that disaster could strike…
The kids had a blast doing in their indoor pool. Basically, it was just a bath BUT it was a bath in the family room and that makes it totally different and totally awesome. Simple twists in life like this are so fun. The kids stayed plenty warm doing this just like they would doing bath time.
They splashed and played for a pretty solid amount of time, I took a million pictures because it was adorable, and all was happy for our morning. This little indoor pool made life so much more fun!
Clean up wasn’t too bad. The pool was too heavy to lift and dump, so my toddler and I just scooped the water out by hand. Sounds awful but it was actually really fun. Took less than 5 minutes to get it all put away. Worked just fine for me!
Think you’re game to try an indoor pool?
